                                MISSION STATEMENT

We exist to help others, with respect for all, by faithfully and selflessly providing life and property preservation through prompt and safe emergency medical response, fire suppression, prevention and education.

The Argyle Volunteer Fire District is responsible for providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for the citizens of Argyle, Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Corral City,  Lantana and Northlake . Our area also includes the Denton County area surrounding these cities. The District covers approximately 55 square miles with a population served of approximately 16,000 people. The department averages 1050 incidents a year.

AVFD is a combination paid/volunteer department. AVFD staffs 4 personnel during the daytime hours; and 2 Paramedics 24 hours a day. Incident call response is supplemented by our 24 dedicated members.

All paid Firefighter/Paramedic personnel are certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, and the Texas Department of State Health Services. Within our volunteer staff of 24, 20 are certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, and 16 are certified EMT-B or higher with the the Texas Department of State Health Services.

This allows the AVFD to provide the best possible service to the Communities and Citizens we serve.
